Ten activists from Scientist Rebellion Turtle Island (SRTI) attended the Ecological Society of America (ESA) conference in Long Beach, CA August 4-9, 2024. Our members took action both within the conference and out in the community, confronting fossil fuel villains in the local context of Long Beach. Our events sparked strong interest and resonated deeply with fellow scientists who share our concerns about the climate crisis.

Scientist Rebellion is all about solidarity, empathy, and rebellion. Learn more about our work and how you can support us:

Come by and say hello at our booth on the Exhibit floor M-W 9:30am to 6:30pm.

We believe these activities at ESA will help us bring many more new Rebels into SRTI, making our capacity for action even stronger. To accomplish all this, we have about a dozen people registering for the conference. Most are traveling and need lodging while here. We need to print lots of flyers and business cards, in addition to needing materials for our actions, printing our posters, and many other costs.
